Sales Course Manchester
Training is key of course - as Tony Blair himself said "Education, education, education."
Funny how it can drop out of consciousness easily enough though - even for those who should know better! I include myself in this category - I have had the good fortune to do many many training courses in my time. Specialised ones as well as general staff and sales training and yet I have found myself operating as a Sales Manager for months at a time without even thinking about getting my Sales team properly trained in the science and art of selling and closing successfully.
The problem is it is very easy to forget that the reason you know is you learned it on a course. After you have had the realisation "never make the customer wrong", "always ask for the sale" "don't talk money or close until they express a real interest" - these all seem like second nature and obvious to a seasoned professional sales person and if a new person doesn't know that - well, they couldn't possibly ever make the grade!
This is of course hogwash, there was a time in your career when you didn't know that either. You either learned it from bitter experience or more likely on a course or from a sales person who did a course. It is so easy to take things for granted that were hard one and took genius - just the numbers 1 to 10 are a fantastic tool - the Romans didn't have that! and nobody around today thought them up either - they are a brilliant tool that was thought up a few centuries ago by some very clever people - and they are taught in school - all over the world. That's how we know about counting and basic maths and find it all very easy and obvious. Now, question for you - do they teach salesmanship at school?
Well, you know they don't - and while there are quite a few passable sales people around I can assure you that using them to train your new staff in a casual way is a long way off the mark - if you want to have some serious sales and a properly operating department you need to train the staff on a professional course.
Sales Course Manchester
We are based in Bolton - very near Manchester - and we deliver high quality professional courses designed to turn out competent sales staff who can do the job of selling. They know the basics because they have been taught them. The truth is that while every course done should of course improve the skills and results of a student - they, and we, really benefit most when they regularly learn and go over the basics. It is drilling things in that makes them second nature and obvious - no drilling, no repetition of the key basics and I can promise you your sales staff will end up thinking wearing a tie is just as important as remembering their clients name.
So doing the same course two or three times over - with some good real world experience in between - in a year say, is not a waste of time. On the contrary it would get you a much improved person in the field of sales as they would have gained certainty on what they are doing - expertise. You see this in many many professional careers - training, drilling, going over the course materials again and again. Experts are made - they aren't born.
If you need a Sales Course Manchester then call or email me - I don't disappoint.
